Liam Foden - Managing Director
Liam Foden has over 20 years’ experience in the Australian energy industry, being the Managing Director of 1st Energy since April 2015 and with prior senior management roles at Energy Australia, Lumo Energy and Powerdirect. Liam is experienced in retail pricing, customer billing, wholesale trading and settlements, network bill validation and customer transfers and administration.
Adam Landry - Executive Director
Adam Landry has 20 years’ experience in the Energy sector both in Australia and the UK. Prior to founding 1st Energy he worked for Energy Australia following a decade in the UK with European giant E.ON where he held various roles. He is responsible for the end-to-end customer experience with 1st Energy concentrating primarily on delivering exceptional service and customer growth.
Aneta Graham – Head of Regulatory and Compliance
Aneta Graham has over 18 years’ experience in the Australian energy industry and was previously with Lumo Energy, (a founding member since its inception in 2004), as the General Manager of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance and a member of the Senior Executive Team.
Aneta has extensive industry knowledge of Regulation, Risk Management, Compliance and Corporate Affairs matters and a track record of building and driving customer-focused teams with a shared commitment to compliance as a key driver of organisational strategies. Aneta has a thorough understanding of key business requirements to successfully operate an energy retailer and has a comprehensive understanding of national and state legislation and energy regulations.

Once you have selected your 1st Energy plan depending on your meter type we will transfer you over to us either from your last scheduled read date or the next available read (usually the next day).

Once you have your account number you can register on My Account from the website, it is as simple as that. There you will have access to latest invoices, your consumption, account details, meter information and much more all at your fingertips.
At 1st Energy you will receive a bill every month as we believe this is a better way to manage your energy costs.
If you have a smart meter this will be based on actual reads where available. If you are on a quarterly read meter then we will use the amount you nominated during the sign up process (general rule is to divide your previous bill by 3) or you can provide your own reads via our portal.
The quarterly bill will be reconciled to ensure that you are only paying for what you have used. For Gas customers where the meter is read every 2nd month you will receive an invoice monthly based on the amount you nominated during sign up and reconciled every 2nd month.
