The Consumer Data Right (CDR) gives you greater control over your energy data. It allows eligible customers to securely share their data with accredited providers to compare energy plans, understand their usage and access products and services that suit their needs.
Sharing your data is voluntary. You choose whether to share it, what you authorise and for how long.
Your CDR dashboard lets you review your data-sharing arrangements and withdraw your authorisation at any time.
Check the account number on your bill to choose the right dashboard.

Accounts starting with 9 operate under the EL Retail Energy licence and use 1st Energy branding.
If you’re unsure which dashboard to use or need help signing in, please contact us.
Depending on your account and the service you choose, your CDR data may include:
CDR includes privacy and security requirements for participating organisations. We verify your identity and authorisation before fulfilling a request to share your data.
You can review your arrangements and withdraw your authorisation through the appropriate CDR dashboard above.
To change the information requested or the sharing period, follow the instructions on the accredited provider’s website or app. You can also withdraw your consent through that provider.
If you need assistance managing your arrangements, please contact us.
CDR is available for eligible electricity accounts. Eligibility depends on your account, electricity usage and authority to act on the account.
You do not need to have an active account. For closed accounts, you can access and view your past two years of account data through CDR for up to 24 months (two years) from the account closure date. After this 24-month period, the data will no longer be available to view or access through CDR.
The applicable CDR policy below explains the eligibility requirements. For help with business accounts, joint accounts, secondary users or closed accounts, please contact us.
Please contact us if you believe your CDR data is inaccurate or incomplete. There is no fee for requesting a correction.
We’ll review your request and explain the outcome. For metering or NMI information, we’ll initiate the relevant correction process. For information on the distributed energy resources register, we’ll explain how to contact your distributor.
Our CDR policies explain how we manage your data, your rights and how to make a complaint. Choose the policy that matches your account number:
