I’ve been scammed – what should I do?

If you think a message, call or payment request claiming to be from 1st Energy may be a scam, don’t use the contact details in the suspicious message.

Contact 1st Energy using the details on our official website so we can help check whether the communication is genuine.

If you shared banking or card details, contact your bank as soon as possible.

If a password may have been compromised, change it and review the security of any other account where you used the same password.

You can also seek help from IDCARE, report cybercrime through ReportCyber, or read information from Scamwatch.

If you’re unsure, contact us before making a payment or sharing personal information.
